Chris Mason

Chris Mason is a BBC Political Correspondent, reporting on all events from Westminster on radio, TV and online. He’s reported from over 20 countries, and on all types of stories, but has come to particular prominence covering Brexit. Since the EU referendum, Chris has been on the frontline of covering the intense, unpredictable political fallout for all of the BBC’s channels with a digestible and entertaining style of delivery. He regularly appears on BBC Breakfast, Radio 4’s Today Programme, the Jeremy Vine Show and the news bulletins on BBC One.

Alongside Laura Kuenssberg, Katya Adler and Adam Fleming, he is one of the presenters of Brexitcast, the award winning podcast that has recently been signed up for a weekly slot on BBC One. Chris also works as a presenter across a range of BBC programmes, including on BBC Breakfast, on Radio 4, 5 live and the World Service. In October 2019 he will take over the presenting chair of  Any Question's on BBC Radio 4.

Having wanted to report on the news since he was a boy, Chris joined ITN as a trainee. He’s gone on to cover stories ranging from a football match in Kazakhstan, to an earthquake in Italy, scandal in Formula 1, the Brevik attacks in Norway, the birth of Kosovo, the trial of Radovan Karadzic in The Hague and the World Santa Congress in Copenhagen and plenty more besides.
