Victoria Fritz

Victoria Fritz hosts the BBC’s morning global news programmes on BBC One, BBC News and BBC World News. Her output is read, watched and listened to by eight out of ten adults in the UK and by nearly half a billion people around the world.

Victoria has particular interests in business, science & technology, pharma, commodities, entrepreneurship and behavioural economics.


After graduating with an MBA from Judge Business School Victoria started her journalistic career with an internship at Breakingviews, an online financial commentary site now part of Reuters.

In 2008 she joined BBC News as a Senior Broadcast Journalist working with high-profile correspondents to produce business and economics stories from the UK and abroad for BBC One’s main news bulletins.

Victoria also worked on BBC Breakfast, BBC 2’s Working Lunch and BBC World News.

In 2015 Victoria moved on to become a News Correspondent for BBC national television and radio bulletins as well as presenting business news on BBC Breakfast, BBC One and BBC World News.

From late 2015 Victoria has been the morning news anchor for BBC Global News bringing UK and internationals viewers the latest headlines from a worldwide network of correspondents and contributors.

In 2020 Victoria appeared on Celebrity Mastermind, her specialist subject was the Chelsea Flower Show and she won her episode.

Personal Life

Victoria is a keen gardener who lives with her husband and son. 

In 2018 Victoria was part of an all-female multi-disciplinary crew who sailed across the North Pacific to find out how plastics pollution is affecting remote shorelines and communities.
