Cathy Hunt is a media training consultant whose clients include Channel 4, CNN and IG Index as well as business people and individuals dealing with the media who need advice on the best techniques.
Cathy can provide expert training in writing, reporting and interviewing skills. This ranges from "nuts and bolts" guidance for journalists who've only recently started in television to more sophisticated training for established journalists, together with coaching for presenters on the best way to carry out interviews. She also coaches clients on how to be interviewed.
Cathy started media training in 2002 after working as a BBC journalist for many years, producing and editing the main television news shows, in particular as the editor of the Six O'Clock News. She also produced many live news events at home and abroad including coverage of the deaths of Princess Diana and Dodi Al Fayed, September the 11th and the Concorde crash.
Before that she was a reporter for national radio and television news and also worked as a producer and output editor on various current affairs and business programmes. She began her career in print journalism and has considerable newspaper experience including spells as a reporter for the Daily Mail and the Press Association news agency.
She lectures on university media courses and has run courses for the Central Office of Information.
Mary Greenham manages Andrew Marr, George Alagiah, Nick Robinson, Stephanie Flanders’s speaking engagements. She also acts as booking agent for many other personalities.
