Matt Smith is a TV news presenter, currently working for Sky News in the UK. In the last fifteen years, he's worked full-time for Sky News, BBC Radio 1 and BBC Television.
He currently presents and reports for Sky News, anchoring sequences such as Sky News At 10, The Live Desk and the RTS award-winning new media TV show SkyNews.com.
He is an excellent performer on live TV and radio with thousands of hours of national and international airtime experience.
As a reporter and correspondent on both radio and TV, he's also reported and presented from all over the world. As a reporter, he covered everything from IRA bomb blasts in London, human trafficking in eastern Europe, to the Oscars in Hollywood. He's also covered four general elections and reported from the funeral route of Diana, Princess of Wales in 1997.
On radio, he has presented speech and music shows, including Newsbeat to 10m Radio 1 listeners. He was also part of the award-winning on-air team behind influential 1990s London radio station BBC GLR.
He has extensive experience of working on location in a career that's seen him report from all over Europe, the Middle East, Japan, Australia, India and the United States. As a result, Matt can handle everything from live studio presentation on both TV and radio to location single camera work for TV.
